Levelwise is operated by Melearn Lab LLC, a limited liability company based in California, United States. This policy covers the Levelwise iOS app and levelwise.app. Levelwise requires an account, so unlike a plain website it necessarily holds some information about you. This page says exactly what.
Information you give us
Sign in with Apple. When you sign in, Apple sends us a stable identifier for your Apple Account that is unique to Levelwise. We store it as the key that lets you return to your own account. If you choose to share them, Apple also sends your name and email address — but only on your first-ever sign-in, and never again. If you use Apple’s “Hide My Email,” we receive a relay address and never see your real one. We never receive your Apple Account password.
Onboarding answers. What you tell us about your background and what you want to get out of Levelwise, which we use to pick and pitch cards for you.
Information created as you use Levelwise
Reading activity. Which cards you open, skip, or react to, which follow-ups and links you tap, and any text you type into a follow-up. This is what makes the feed adapt rather than serve everyone the same thing.
Questions you ask. When you use Ask, we store your question, any passage you highlighted, and the answer you received, linked to your account.
Technical logs. Ordinary server logs (request paths, status codes, timing, IP address) and a per-call record of each AI request, including the prompt sent and the response returned. We use these to debug, measure cost, and detect abuse.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. We do not run third-party ad or analytics SDKs in the app. We use a small number of service providers to run Levelwise at all:
- Apple — authentication via Sign in with Apple.
- OpenRouter and the model providers it routes to — when you ask a question, your question and the relevant card text are sent to a language model to generate the answer.
- Langfuse and Axiom — logging and tracing for the AI calls and server requests described above.
- Railway — hosting and database storage, in the United States.
We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, or where necessary to protect our rights or someone’s safety.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account from inside the app at any time: Profile → Delete Account. There is no form to fill in and no need to email us.
Deleting removes your account record, your name and email, your onboarding profile, your reading activity, your questions and answers, and your active sessions. It also tells Apple to revoke Levelwise’s access to your Apple Account, so Levelwise stops appearing in your Apple sign-in settings. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
Operational logs — server request logs and the AI call records described above — are retained separately for security, abuse prevention, and cost accounting, and are not removed by account deletion. If you want those purged as well, email us and we will do it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. Deletion is built into the app; for anything else, email us and we will respond. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Children
Levelwise is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or who processes it, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be surfaced in the app.
